ABOUT
Tara and Courtney met as neighbors in Okinawa. Tara, an Army wife, and Courtney, an Air Force wife, became fast friends, sharing a love of art, nature, food, beaches and their tiny, and very special, old Okinawan neighborhood.
They met with no children, and each had two little babes while living on Oki. They wanted to make sure their children could always carry memories of the idyllic paradise they called home for their first years.
This board book was an idea, that became some sketches, and then paintings, and is now a book! We hope that you love this book and it reminds you and your children (or just you!) of a wonderful island in the East China Sea, full of legends, and nature, food and beauty, and a feeling of home.
